Founded in 2017, LF Open Source, LLC (“LFOS”) is a US limited liability corporation that supports open technology projects with the distribution of open source project software around the world.

At LFOS, we make it simple for open source projects and their communities to distribute compiled binaries and other builds of open source projects transparently and securely.  While anyone can build an open source binary distribution, we support open source projects to build and sign project binaries.  By removing friction from the release process, we help projects:

• Deliver verified binaries faster
• Reduce security risks from unofficial builds
• Improve adoption by enterprise and downstream users
• Strengthen open source trust through transparent provenance
